Amazon currently sets the pace in new developments in the field of high-speed single-seed drill technology. The agricultural machinery manufacturer is particularly strong in the smaller working widths and mounted machines segment.
For those currently in search of a single-seed drill, the Osnabrück-based Precea machines are a must-see. The previous models ED and EDX are now outdated. While the 12 and 9-meter wide Precea received the international Farm Machine Jury award in the seeding technology category at the last Agritechnica, the 6-meter variant was introduced to the market for the 2024 sowing season.
Just like its larger siblings, the Precea 6m is a mounted version with large-capacity fertilizer tanks. Amazone offers these three models with the central seed supply CSS. The special feature of the 6m Precea is that buyers can alternatively order it with individual 70-liter seed containers. For the 2024 corn planting season, we opted for the Precea 6000 TCC with decentralized seed tanks. However, for the rapeseed sowing, we switched to the central tank system at the end of August. The latter version has an additional feature that is particularly interesting for precision sowing.
