International milk prices continue to fall

At the "Global Dairy Trade" trading exchange, the average price of dairy products continues to fall by 1.0% to $4,389 per ton. However, butter remains in demand.

The average price across all products and time periods on the international trading platform "Global Dairy Trade" has once again fallen. The price recently dropped by 1.0% to $4,389 per ton. This decline brings the Global Dairy Trade Price Index down to 1,299 points.

The price trend for individual products varied. Prices declined for whole milk powder (-2.1% to $4,084 per ton), skim milk powder (-1.3% to $2,775 per ton), mozzarella (-2.3% to $4,802 per ton), butter oil (-1.3% to $7,276 per ton), and lactose (-3.6% to $1,323 per ton). On the other hand, prices increased for butter (+1.4% to $7,890 per ton) and cheddar cheese (+5.1% to $4,992 per ton). The price for buttermilk powder was not determined.

The traded quantity was lower at 15,209 tons compared to the previous auction on June 3rd (16,307 tons). The auction takes place every two weeks.
