Krone turns the Arocs into a real agro truck
The tested agro truck demonstrates what modern commercial vehicle technology can achieve in agriculture. With 510 hp, 2,500 Nm of torque, and an automated twelve-speed gearbox, the Arocs can handle the full 40 tons from the field even in adverse conditions. We were particularly impressed by the low fuel consumption thanks to high performance in the low speed range. Even on wet ground, the truck remained stable and reliable at all times. The driver benefits from a comfortable cabin, quiet engine operation, and intelligent shift logic - quite different from classic tractors. The Arocs performs excellently in agricultural operations.
Push-floor with Powerspeed: The KX in a tough test
The Knapen-KX push-floor trailer with a volume of 65 m³ was also included in the test. Thanks to the Powerspeed system, the corn can be unloaded in under four minutes - provided that the hydraulic power is sufficient. The modified Arocs provides enough power with up to 240 l/min. Particularly practical is the remote control for all functions, from the roof to the partition wall. Minor weaknesses such as the lack of visibility into the cargo area are rare. The tires, axles, and body are clearly tailored to the daily agricultural routine. Our test results showed that those looking to quickly and safely transport large volumes from the field will find it hard to overlook the combination of Krone truck and KX trailer.
