Fast internet on tractors - CNH collaborates with Starlink.

Thanks to Starlink, Case IH, New Holland, and Steyr machines can now use robust and affordable high-speed connections even in the most remote rural areas of the world.

CNH has signed an agreement with Starlink, a subsidiary of SpaceX, to introduce further satellite connectivity into agriculture. Through this collaboration, customers of CNH brands Case IH, New Holland, and Steyr can now access robust and affordable high-speed connections even in the most remote rural areas worldwide. This allows the full benefits of a fully connected fleet to be realized.

Starlink's advanced satellite network provides reliable internet with low latency, according to CNH. This enables smart machines to communicate efficiently and work in a coordinated manner, boosting productivity and yields.

Connectivity can seamlessly integrate into CNH's digital platform FieldOps. This platform provides customers with real-time insight into their machines and continuously delivers data. It also enables enhanced data transmission by keeping farm management systems interconnected regardless of location.

One concrete application example is "Prescription Spraying," where the fast and stable data transmission from Starlink proves to be particularly advantageous. In markets like Brazil, lack of connectivity can lead to logistical challenges in the field.

CNH's FieldXplorer platform uses AI to convert drone images into field maps that can differentiate between weeds and crops. With Starlink, this data can now be exported almost in real-time to create spray maps for the machines. This allows farmers to apply pesticides earlier, combat weeds faster, and ultimately increase their yields.
