The Fendt 620 Vario achieves top marks in the independent DLG PowerMix test for performance, efficiency, and fuel consumption in overall consumption.
The Fendt 620 Vario achieves top marks for performance, efficiency, and fuel consumption in the overall consumption in the independent DLG PowerMix test.
The 4-cylinder AGCO Power CORE50 engine of the Fendt 620 Vario achieves a maximum power of 149.9 kW/205 PS at the PTO and a maximum torque of 885 Nm at only 1,200 rpm according to measurements conducted by the independent DLG Test Center.
In the field, the Fendt 620 Vario achieves the lowest diesel consumption in the power range of 165 to 240 PS of all tractor models tested by the DLG, with 245 g/kWh (+ 29.3 g/kWh AdBlue). This represents an 11 g/kWh advantage over the previous best value and is significantly below the average of tested tractors in this power category, as stated in a press release by Fendt.
As a result, "the Fendt is on average over 10-15% more fuel-efficient than all previous test candidates in mixed work and part-load scenarios," concludes the profi magazine in its practical test (6/2025).
Having inherited much from its larger sibling, the 728, the tractor is only 3 g/kWh above the peak value of the DLG PowerMix test for the Fendt 728 Vario from 2023. Profi notes that at rated speed and corresponding power, as well as maximum speed, the 620 has inherited much from the 728 in terms of diesel consumption: 229 g/kWh (+ 23.8 g/kWh AdBlue) at rated speed, and 221 g/kWh (+ 25 g/kWh) signify efficiency.
These low consumption values confirm the efficient interaction between the single-stage VarioDrive drive, the low-speed concept Fendt iD, and the efficiency-oriented overall concept of the Fendt 600 Vario series, according to Fendt.
On the road, the Fendt 620 Vario also achieves an absolute best value in the road transport test. At 40 km/h, it consumes only 309 g/kWh of diesel (+ 34.9 g/kWh AdBlue), representing a 40 g/kWh advantage over the previous best value of 349 g/kWh in this power class.
At a speed of 50 km/h, the Fendt 620 Vario consumes 311 g/kWh (+ 35.8 g/kWh AdBlue), making it significantly more fuel-efficient than the average of previously tested tractors. In transport, the Fendt 620 Vario reaches a top speed of 50 km/h at only 1,350 rpm, resulting in low fuel consumption. It is therefore the most fuel-efficient of all tested tractors in the DLG PowerMix 2.0.
Additional features such as the comprehensive chassis and safety concept, with a hydraulic auxiliary brake, the suspended front axle and pneumatically suspended cabin, the trailer brake assistant, and the automatic parking brake further distinguish the machine as a transport talent.
