Husqvarna introduces two chainsaws for agriculture and forestry with innovative drive concepts: the 564 XP and the 550i XP.
Husqvarna is expanding its range with the 564 XP and the 550i XP, two powerful devices specifically designed for professional users in forestry and tree care. These are two powerful saws with different drive concepts.
The 564 XP, with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.45 kg/kW, is suitable for both felling and limbing medium-sized wood. It can handle bar lengths up to 70 cm.
The 564 XP is Husqvarna's first chainsaw with intelligent fuel injection. It has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.45 kg/kW, a very good value for the 60 cc class. According to the manufacturer, it delivers the power of a 70 cc saw in the compactness of a 50 cc saw. The automatic adjustment of the injection to environmental conditions eliminates the need for manual carburetor adjustment.
The ergonomic design of the 564 XP is based on a motor-centered construction, making the machine slimmer and reducing fatigue during long operations. Further weight savings come from a magnesium piston. The 564 XP is also available with heated handles (model 564 XP G) for cold weather use. The all-round saw 564 XP is mainly suitable for felling and limbing.
The 550i XP is a battery-powered professional chainsaw with a power of up to 3.0 kW, comparable to gasoline-powered devices. The flexible battery selection allows adaptation to different requirements: with the B540X battery with 540 Wh, it achieves even more power than a 50 cc gasoline saw, with the lighter B330X battery (330 Wh), handling is the focus. The saw is therefore particularly suitable for arborists.
Arborists praise the saw for its strength, flexibility, and suitability for demanding work. The saw is designed for use in all weather conditions and is also available with a heated handle (550i XP G). According to Husqvarna, they are the first manufacturer to offer battery chainsaws with heated handles.
The 564 XP weighs 5.8 kg with 4.0 kW of power and is suitable for bar lengths from 15 to 28 inches (38 to 71 cm). The 550i XP weighs 4.1 kg (without cutting equipment) and offers up to over 3.0 kW of power depending on the battery – with bar lengths from 13 to 20 inches (33 to 50.8 cm). According to Husqvarna, performance, ergonomics, ease of maintenance, and safety were the focus of the development of the new chainsaws. Both models will be available in specialist stores from autumn 2025.
