MF is introducing two new 1M models with 20 HP and 25 HP. The 3-cylinder engines are designed to have more torque, the new 9-speed transmission offers more versatility, and the cabin provides increased comfort.
Massey Ferguson is launching the new MF 1M series with two models. These tractors are replacing the previous MF 1500 series. The series starts with two models that offer increased performance compared to their predecessors: the 25 HP MF 1M.25 replaces the MF 1525, while the 20 HP MF 1M.20 replaces the MF 1520.
In addition to the new styling featuring the distinctive MF saber, the tractors come with new features such as a factory-installed cabin model, improved controls, a mid PTO, external PTO control for added convenience, additional lighting options, and new mower decks.
The tractors are intended for professional applications in municipal technology, horse farming, and landscaping.
Cabin and controls
The optionally factory-installed cabin aims to provide a comfortable and productive work environment. Large windows offer 360-degree visibility, front and rear LED work lights are standard. The cabin also includes air conditioning, heating, rear windshield wiper with interval function, and electric rear defroster.
A cable passage at the rear of the cabin protects electrical connections to attached equipment. A hydraulic control lever improves efficiency and reduces fatigue when working with attachments like front loaders. USB and 12-volt outlets power electronic devices.
Both tractors feature an adjustable steering wheel for optimal seating position.
Engine and transmission
The engine of the MF 1M.25 reportedly delivers 33% more torque at lower rpm than comparable competitors for quieter operation and better fuel efficiency. The continuously variable hydrostatic transmission allows for the perfect speed for any task.
The MF 1M.20 receives a new 9-speed transmission, replacing the previous 8-speed transmission.
Powerful hydraulics
The MF 1M.25 offers 900 kg of rear lift capacity, 300 kg more than the MF 1525. The MF 1M.20 remains at 600 kg but can be upgraded to 900 kg optionally.
The main hydraulic pump delivers up to 20.9 l/min. Up to two controllers for hydraulically driven devices can be installed. A separate pump with 12.3 l/min provides steering assistance, ensuring the full flow of the main pump is available for attachments.
The MF 1M.25 with cabin features its own joystick for controlling the controllers. For front loader applications, the controllers can be mounted centrally under the right cabin door.
PTO
The MF 1M.25 has a two-speed rear PTO with 540/750 rpm. The MF 1M.20 offers a fixed 540 rpm rear PTO. A mid PTO with 2,000 rpm is standard on the MF 1M.25 and optional on the MF 1M.20.
For added versatility and user-friendliness, the MF 1M.25 features three PTO operating modes: independent PTO, stationary PTO, and automatic mode. In automatic mode, the PTO rotates during forward movement and stops automatically when the tractor stops or reverses. Users can also select the starting characteristics of the PTO in automatic mode: Normal for applications like soil milling with fast, direct activation, Soft for devices like mowers and rakes, and Auto recommended for equipment like fertilizer spreaders.
A PTO switch on the rear fender of the MF 1M.25 enhances comfort and safety during stationary PTO applications.
Safety and practicality
Both models come standard with Rollover Protection System (ROPS). The MF 1M.25 receives a new rear-mounted, foldable frame for maximum visibility and adjustable height clearance.
Extras for mowing
The new MF tractors are available with agricultural, lawn, or industrial profile tires to suit different applications.
A new series of center-mounted mower decks offers additional options: for the MF 1M.25, cutting widths of 137cm or 152cm, side or rear discharge, and mulching functions are available.
The latest Drive-Over mower decks are easier to install and maintain, saving time when switching between tasks.
With 150mm of ground clearance, the MF 1M.25 can easily drive over the deck for quick preparation for mowing tasks. The cutting height is adjusted easily and precisely with a lever.
