With the new forage harvesters F8 and F9, John Deere raises driver comfort, efficiency, and operation to a new level.
John Deere introduces a new generation of self-propelled forage harvesters, the F8 and F9, to the market. These machines offer the highest levels of comfort, precision, and efficiency in harvesting operations, thanks to innovative cabin technology, powerful engines, and intelligent assistance systems.
The F8 and F9 forage harvesters boast technical features such as a steering system for 6-meter turning circles, a 230-degree swiveling spout, and the innovative ActiveSeat II, which provides comfort features like heating, cooling, and massage functions. John Deere relies on proven engines for these machines: the JD14X engine in the F8 series delivers 425 to 645 horsepower, while the F9 models offer up to 1020 horsepower, with the option of the JD18X or Liebherr V12 engine - both equipped with HarvestMotion for maximum efficiency.
These John Deere forage harvesters come equipped with intelligent assistance systems and new processors. Features like Ground Speed Automation, Active Fill Control, and ProTouch Harvest make work easier, reduce strain, and enhance work quality - particularly during frequent field changes. The new Silage Additive System IDS 2.0 combined with the HarvestLab Sensor ensures optimal silage quality. Additionally, two new grain processors - Ultimate 250 and XStream 305 - provide high throughput and grain processing capabilities with easy conversion. With the F8 and F9 series, John Deere delivers powerful, intelligent forage harvesters tailored to the needs of modern agriculture.
