Last year, Steyr introduced an expansion to the Plus series by unveiling a new 12x12 transmission and Front Loader S635.
The Austrian manufacturer Steyr introduced the Plus series last year with the S-Control II – a 24x24 transmission with a 2-speed power shift. Since then, tractors with 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120 horsepower have been available. One year later, Steyr made modifications to the transmission and introduced an additional variant for the three largest models. Also interesting: A farmer competes in a desert rally with a tractor – surprising placement.
Enhanced Transmission Options for Steyr Plus Tractors
Steyr offers the Power-Shuttle transmission for the three largest models in the series, which have 100, 110, and 120 horsepower.
The models 4100, 4110, and 4120 are now equipped with the new 12x12 S PowerShuttle transmission by Steyr, aiming to provide farmers with more flexibility. This variant is specifically designed for front loader work, as the 3-stage adjustable electrohydraulic shuttle shift makes working with attachments easier. The Steyr Plus PowerShuttle also features a mechanical lift control. All new models come standard with a 4-cylinder engine, a 130-liter fuel tank, and an increased ground clearance of 75 mm, which can go up to 480 mm with optional rear tires sized 540/65 R38.
Hydraulics and Front PTO for Heavy-Duty Tasks
Steyr also supplements the Plus series with a more powerful hydraulic pump that delivers an oil flow of up to 82 liters per minute. Thanks to new external lift cylinders, the lifting capacity of the rear lift has increased to 4,700 kg, allowing for the use of heavy attachments. The permissible total weight has been raised to 7,000 kg. Additionally, there is a new maintenance-free front power take-off with a wet clutch and a redesigned HD front axle for increased stability.
New Front Loader S635
The Front Loader S635, developed specifically for the Plus series, offers a lifting height of 3.8 m and a maximum lifting capacity of 2,100 kg. It comes pre-assembled from the factory and aims to provide more stability during work with a tool pivot point shifted towards the tractor. The mechanical parallel guidance allows for optimal visibility of the tool. The "S-Stop II" function allows farmers to control disengagement solely through the brake pedal. Technical features include AutoLock quick coupler, Multi-coupler, a third function for hydraulic tools, and EURO attachment. Optional features include hydraulic vibration damping (SoftRide) and a universal bucket.
