XXL loader wagon: Schuitemaker introduces front wall and short cut.

The new Rapide XC series by Schuitemaker achieves short cutting but retains its unique rotor concept.

Now the new Schuitemaker Rapide XC series forage wagons also offer short cut with 80 cutting knives. In addition, there is a new rotor housing and a movable front wall. In one detail, the forage wagons remain unique.

The Dutch agricultural machinery manufacturer Schuitemaker further developed its Rapide XC series forage wagons and incorporated more than just a few new details. Key changes include a new rotor housing, an improved pick-up, and a cutting unit with twice as many knives as before. A feature for which Schuitemaker is known for remains in the new forage wagons.

Schuitemaker introduces a new feature: Short cut is now possible

The enhanced XC models of the Rapide series from Schuitemaker set new standards for short cut: equipped with a newly designed rotor housing and 80 cutting knives, they achieve a cutting length of 24 mm. This halves the cutting length compared to the previous model with 44 mm, making the Rapide a true short cut forage wagon.

Pick-up and rotor: Known technology reimagined

Inside the forage wagon, a 2.10 m wide rotor operates. The pick-up has a working width of 2.40 m and adapts flexibly to ground unevenness with suspension, ensuring a consistent flow of material. The 4 mm thick knives allow for 30 additional blades with reduced power requirement due to a special cutting shape.

Schuitemaker: Forage wagons remain loyal to a special component

Schuitemaker is known for its unique linkage of the pick-up: instead of pushing it, the pick-up is pulled by the forage wagon. Very few forage wagon manufacturers do this. The Rapide XC stays true to the familiar concept. The combination of rotor housing, cutting unit, and trailing pick-up is designed to ensure a consistent and fast material flow, even under challenging operating conditions.

Forage wagon comes with a movable front wall

Another highlight: The combination of hydraulically movable front wall and the RapidRelease system maximizes the loading volume. The special rotor rotation direction pushes the harvested material forward for optimal wagon filling, according to the manufacturer. The first models of the new XC series will be available in time for the upcoming grass season and can be purchased from distributors.
