Boat Accident off the Coast of Yemen: Hundreds of Sheep Saved by Fishermen
Off the coast of Yemen near the city of Aden, a dramatic boat accident occurred over the weekend. A ship carrying nearly 2000 sheep capsized, causing numerous animals to fall into the sea and drift helplessly in the water.
As seen in several videos on social media, local fishermen rushed to the aid of the animals in distress. In a complex rescue operation, they pulled one sheep after another out of the water on their boats. Many of the animals were saved in this way.
The exact cause of the transport ship capsizing is currently unclear according to various media reports. Information shared on social platforms indicates that the ship was heavily loaded with nearly 2,000 sheep.
