Two years after its premiere at Agritechnica, Pöttinger is now bringing the TINECARE V 12050 MASTER to the market in a series-ready state. The harrow represents precise weed regulation, improved durability, and flexible adaptation to any type of soil.
After its debut at Agritechnica 2023, Pöttinger is now introducing its revamped precision harrow TINECARE V 12050 MASTER to the market. During this time, the machine has been extensively developed, especially in terms of durability. The result is a device designed for longevity, setting new standards in both ecological and conventional agriculture and proving effective, particularly in mulch seeding. The machine is currently on display in a folded state at the Ökofeldtage in Canitz (BayWa stand B 2.1, B 1.3).
Originally equipped with a high proportion of plastic components, Pöttinger has upgraded during the revision phase. The components have been replaced with durable materials, aiming to design the TINECARE V 12050 MASTER for continuous operation. According to Pöttinger, the harrow is ideal for farms that rely on mechanical weed regulation, whether in organic farming or for conventional farmers looking to reduce pesticide use.
A unique feature of the new harrow is its innovative machine frame. Unlike conventional devices, the TINECARE V 12050 MASTER does not have a continuous frame – the main support is located on top of the machine. This creates space and ensures stability. With six rows and a tight tine spacing of only 30 mm, the harrow achieves full-surface processing. With a generous beam spacing of 36 cm, the TINECARE should be able to easily handle larger amounts of organic matter, allowing them to move more easily through the machine.
An essential highlight is the separate guidance of each individual tine element, ensuring even pressure distribution even on uneven ground. The tine pressure can be hydraulically adjusted from 500 g to 6 kg – directly from the tractor cab and while driving. This allows for flexible responses to plant development and soil conditions – from gentle blind harrowing to more intense processing, for example, in combating blackgrass pressure. In this way, the harrow can also be used in ridge cultures and adapt to the terrain.
With a working width of 12 m, the TINECARE V 12050 MASTER enables high field performance – particularly valuable in labor-intensive time windows. For transport, the machine can be folded four times, reaching a compact transport width of only 2.95 m. This ensures easy road transport and space-saving storage. In addition to precise operation, the TINECARE is said to score with low maintenance. The indirect suspension of the tines, combined with wide bearings, ensures high line stability. Optionally, highly wear-resistant DURASTAR PLUS carbide tines are available, further increasing the service life. A row harrow to prevent weed reinfestation through the probing wheels can also be mounted.
The Pöttinger TINECARE V 12050 MASTER will be available from September 2025. With the new precision harrow, Pöttinger aims to position itself alongside competitors such as Einböck and Treffler, offering a reliable tool for farmers who focus on sustainable and effective weed control – without compromising on quality and efficiency.
