New: The VetVise BarnBuddy
To simplify control for the animal owner, VetVise now offers the "VetVise BarnBuddy." This tool allows the farmer to quickly see what has been happening in the chicken coop, how the animals have been behaving, and more. According to VetVise, the BarnBuddy is easy to use and provides a swift overview of all activities.
Here are the features of the "VetVise BarnBuddy" in detail:
Complete barn overview at a glance: The farmer instantly receives information on the number and locations of stationary animals, as well as the average animal distribution, all in one view. Time-lapse of the previous day: A time-lapse view of the previous day allows for a quick assessment of events and animal behavior in the morning. This is particularly beneficial when staff are caring for the barns and the farmer cannot be on-site daily. Enhanced graphics: The key parameters - activity and animal distribution - are now displayed in a mobile device-optimized format, making any anomalies immediately noticeable.
The app is available on the Play Store and App Store for all Android and Apple devices.
Additionally, farmers can now independently record events such as vaccinations or treatments. This results in comprehensive documentation of all significant occurrences in the system and the app, facilitating the recognition of correlations, for example between animal distribution and vaccinations or activity and treatments, and enabling timely action in case of persistent animal impairments.
Transparency Note: Among the owners of Vetvise is LV Digital GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster (top agrar). It has been involved in the start-up since early 2024.
